Played here for the first time, wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. The greens were small, quite lush and receptive, the bunkers varied in sand quality but were playable. The fairways looked narrow due to the overhanging trees, so good game management was needed. a good test for your golfing skills.
The tee boxes needed some attention, but overhaul I thought the course was challenging and the new recently added three holes and new clubhouse gave this club charm and appeal. Great value at £10.00 for 18 holes of golf with a member. They also offer competitive midweek offers.
All the members and ground staff that I spoke to were extremely friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this to anyone looking to join a friendly club. Frustrating, tricky, but enjoyable. You would have to go a long way to beat this, for value for money.

I am a member of this golf club and I believe it to be excellent value for money. A challenging frustrating course, but a course that is fun and enjoyable to play. We have a very friendly membership, with hard-working ground staff. Due to the limited membership policy, we are able to turn up any time and play a round of golf without having to book a tee time. I will not be leaving anytime soon and would highly recommend this club to anyone seeking a new club.

Just had a glorious day at Somerley Park Golf Club's Open Day event. Ted, Wendy and the entire team were extremely welcoming and could not have been more helpful. The course was in great condition and the rhododendrons were in full bloom, with a squint we could have been at Augusta !!
Seriously though, anyone looking for a tranquil setting to play golf and a friendly welcome would struggle to beat this. Many thanks for a memorable day.

New clubhouse with bar and kitchen featuring a comfortable cosy lounge overlooking the course with lovely views. Bunkers re-sanded and redesigned
This was a truly challenging golf course, with differently shaped greens that were hard to read, tight tree-lined fairways and some difficult bunkers. The course has been lengthened to include two difficult par fours and a par five. some would argue that most of the greens are driveable, but the course will reward golfers that play the percentage shots. If you can play here you can play anywhere. Frustrating but very enjoyable.

Fantastic value for money, great course.
This truly is a hidden Gem, only live 3 miles from this course and didn't know it was there.
The club is on a private estate in beautiful woodland settings. The members are probably one of the friendliest I have come across. The 9 hole course is very challenging and when playing 18 holes the front and back tee! s offer different yardages and challenges. For £10 for 18 holes of golf, I thought this was excellent value for money. The course will suit most golfers of all abilities.
We attended the Peter Alliss competition on 26th March and just wanted to say a big thank you to all the members who welcomed the boys. This was one of the friendliest competitions we have been involved in and made for a great day!Â
Kind regards Simon and Sally-Anne BoydeÂ
